The advancement guides are located in Google Docs, which may display which user(s) are currently viewing the document. This will include your name and your email address if logged into your Google account. If you do not want your information to display when viewing the document, log out of your Google account first, and then open the document.

  • First-degree applicants - Students who are working towards completion of their first bachelor’s degree and will not have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution when the spring 2025 clinical nursing program begins.

Step 3: Verify ASU admission and enrollment status.

You must be admitted to ASU as you will need to enter your ASU ID to submit the application. For questions regarding your admission status, you may call the help center at 1-855-278-5080.

It is also required for advancement that you are eligible for undergraduate enrollment for the summer/fall 2025 terms.

Step 4: Verify transcripts are received.

Verify that your official transcripts have been received and posted to your student account at ASU. This can be verified by viewing your DARS on My ASU.

Step 5: Complete the Course Information Worksheet (CIW).

  • Competitive applicants - You must complete the Course Information Worksheet (CIW) before beginning your application. You will be required to attach it to your application. Instructions to complete the CIW are on the first tab of each Excel document. Note: You will need to use Microsoft Excel to complete this document. When submitting, only .xls and .xlsx file types are accepted. To download Microsoft Office 365, visit https://myapps.asu.edu.
  • Direct Admission students - You do not need to complete or upload a CIW to your advancement application. Continue to the next step.

Step 6: Review your application with an advisor.

The application must be completed in ONE attempt, and it is strongly recommended that you review your application items with an Edson College advisor before submission. The TEAS should be completed and on file with ASU before meeting with an advisor.

The Edson College advising team hosts a series of drop-in advising sessions to review application materials and your CIW prior to submission. (Note: Applicants with direct admission do not need to attend these to review a CIW, but can attend if they have other application questions).

The drop-in hours are as follows:

Failure to do so may prevent your application from being considered for advancement or may cause your application to be withdrawn.

Summer/Fall 2025 Health and Safety Deadlines

  • February 1, 2025: Applicants must set up a Complio compliance tracker using the instructions in the advancement guides.
  • March 1, 2025: Applicants must complete all health and safety requirements except the following items: drug screening, criminal background check and statement of health clearance. Applicants who do not meet this deadline will not be considered for advancement.
